Two prisoners shot dead, three injured in escape bid

Rajeev Kumar, DGP, Jharkhand on the 17 prisoners escaping in Chaibasa while being produced before court. He said they tried to escape while they were being escorted to jail. Two under-trial prisoners were killed in police firing, three were injured and 15 have gone missing.

Earlier reports had said that five prisoners had been shot dead.
