Uber cabbie had forged identification certificate: Delhi police

A case of forgery is likely to be registered against Uber cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav, accused of raping a woman professional in Delhi, as city police begins to probe the issuance of his driving license and character certificate."I have ordered an inquiry into issuance of license to accused Shiv Kumar," DCP BS Bassi.

He added that the character certificate produced by Yadav was a forged one. "Prima facie it appears that character certificate which was submitted to transport department is fake as the officer whose signature is there on it was not posted there at point of time," said the police officer.
