Uber cab driver, accused of rape, to be produced in Delhi court today

A driver with radio taxi service Uber who has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman passenger on Friday night, will be produced in a Delhi court today.

The police will demand his custody in court, and once granted, will take the cab driver to the scene of the crime. Shiv Kumar Yadav, the 32-year-old driver, was arrested from Mathura yesterday.

According to DIG (Agra Range) Lakshmi Singh,  the cab in which the crime took place was owned by Yadav and he was traced through his mobile number and has been handed over to the Delhi police. The car was recovered from the city late Saturday night.
