PM, FM to meet to discuss Budget 2015

Preparations for the second Union Budget 2015 have begun with the first meeting between Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled for this evening.

While the BJP election manifesto for 2014 will be the guiding spirit for the 2015 Union Budget, outlining priorities for the next year have yet to be identified.

Jaitley will also discuss and finalise the details for the formation of the Niti Aayog in the backdrop of Sunday's meeting between the Prime Minister and chief ministers. Niti Aayog is a body to discuss Centre-state issues.
