CBI to take over Saradha cases

The CBI has agreed to take over investigation of two cases registered against the Saradha Group in Assam. It was submitted by the Assam government in Guwahati high court today.

According to the state government, these are case number 7328/2013 registered at Dispur police station and case number 256/2013 registered at Dhubri police station.

The government stated that the process for handing over the two cases to the CBI is under way. It also informed the high court that two cases registered against deposit collecting companies 'Unipay 2 U and Basil International' had already been handed over to the CBI.
