Bahrain dissident gets 3 years for tearing up king's photo

A Bahrain court has sentenced an opposition figure to three years in prison for insulting the king by tearing up a photograph of him, Amnesty International said. 

Zainab al-Khawaja, the daughter of prominent rights activist Abdulhadi al-Khawaja, who is serving a life term, was also fined about USD 8,000, said the London-based rights watchdog.
