2 army soldiers, 2 cops killed after militants attack army camp in Kashmir

Two policemen and 2 cops have been killed after gunfight erupted at a heavily guarded camp in Mohra village near the border town of Uri. The firing began after militants tried to attack the camp early this morning. Firing exchanges are still on between the militants and the security forces. 

According to an official, a head constable and a constable have been killed. Reportedly a militants has been killed too in the firing. 

Police officers along with heavy reinforcements have reached the spot and the area has been cordoned off, added the officer. The traffic on the strategic Baramulla-Uri highway has been disrupted owing to the gunfight. 

Uri, part of Baramullah district, goes to polls on December 9 in the third phase of the ongoing five-phase state assembly elections.
