Sonia in Rae Bareli today, may join Rahul at SGMH anniv event

Congress president Sonia Gandhi will arrive on a two-day visit to her parliamentary constituency in Rae Bareli on Thursday.

She is also scheduled to pay a surprise visit to several villages besides taking part in the district vigilance and monitoring committee meeting and holding deliberations with senior leaders of her party, official sources said.

After a night-halt at the Bhueymau guest house, she would likely meet delegations and members of the public in the morning and attend a programme organised by the zila panchayat at Pure Pausan village.

In a rare coordinated constituency visit of the mother-son duo, Rae Bareli and Amethi MPs Sonia and Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day tour of their parliamentary constituencies over the next few days.

As per reports, Rahul, who arrived in Lucknow yesterday morning will participate in the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where he will lay foundation stone of a community college.
