Congress MP who jumped in to defend a BJP MP

It may now be revealed that CPM MP P Rajeev likened BJP MP Dr Chandan Mitra with Adolf Hitler. Mitra heads the Select Committee for the Insurance Bill.

Mitra received unexpected support from Congress MP Anand Sharma, who said he did not agree with Rajeev's remarks. Sharma said Dr Mitra had been appointed to head the committee by the Rajya Sabha chairperson and was a colleague. Sharma said no derogatory remarks should be made against Mitra. MPs from the AIADMK, Congress and BJP supported Sharma.
