Centre names O P Singh as new NDRF chief

The process of filling vacancies in central police forces has begun with the appointment of O P Singh as full-time Director General of National Disaster Response Force besides a minor rejig at senior posts in BSF, CRPF and CISF.

A 1983-batch IPS officer of UP cadre, Singh will now be the full fledged chief of the NDRF in the rank of Additional Director General for his remaining period of central deputation till January 15, 2018.
