Maharashtra governor transferred to Mizoram

It's official! Maharashtra Governor K Shankarnarayanan has been transferred as the Governor of Mizoram. A Rashtrapati Bhawan communique issued late on Saturday night said that 82-year-old Shankarnarayanan has been shifted to Mizoram and Gujarat Governor OP Kohli has been asked to discharge his duties. The post of Governor of Mizoram fell vacant following the sacking of Kamla Beniwal.
