It's OFFICIAL! K Sankaranarayanan resigns as Maharashtra governor

Hours after he was transferred to Mizoram to take over the post, which was left vacant after the sacking of Kamla Beniwal, Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan said, "It is not possible for me to go to Mizoram." He added, "I resigned because I don't want to continue as a governor. From tomorrow I am a free man, I can speak what I want and criticize." The governor said that he had sent his resignation to the President today and wanted to send his good wishes to Maharashtrians. When asked why he was resigning, he did not provide any proper explanation and told the media that they were free to interpret it any which way.
