VK Singh differs with Gogoi's view on border dispute
August 22, 2014  18:19
A day after Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi blamed lack of infrastructure as one of the major issues for inter-state border disputes, DoNER Minister Gen (retd) V K Singh today disagreed with him.

"Rifts on borders do not take place because of the infrastructure," Singh said on the last day of conference of Chief Ministers of North East.

He, however, did not elaborate on the issues that create border problems between two states in North East.

While giving his speech yesterday at the same conference, Gogoi had cited lack of infrastructure as one of the main problems for ongoing inter-state boundary disputes in the entire North East.
