2008 Bangalore blasts: SC to hear Madani's bail plea today

The Supreme Court will on Friday hear the bail plea of Muslim political leader from Kerala Abdul Nasser Madani. 

Madani is the main accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blast case that killed 2 and injured 20. A series of nine bombs were detonated across various locations in Bangalore in July 2008.

Based on the confession of LeT suspect T Naseer, Madani was listed as the 31st accused in the additional chargesheet in the Bangalore blasts on July 25, 2008.

The Karnataka Police had charged Abdul Nasser Madani for treason, terrorism and attempt to murder. They had also alleged that Madani was part of the planning of the blast and helped terrorists.
