Why Cong's head honchos are going on lecture tours
August 21, 2014  16:19
Desertions in the Congress are evident. At least three working committee members are disgruntled. Their letters to the CWC members are doing the rounds in the Congress circles. They say the AK Antony report, which gave a clear chit to Rahul Gandhi over the 2014 poll debacle is not good enough -- they want the revelations made by Natwar Singh to be discussed. So to avoid meeting Congress leaders many senior former Union Ministers of the UPA have planned non-political events, especially those that take them out of the country.

Jairam Ramesh, for instance, will undertake a lecture tour spread over a month in Germany and at the Harvard University in the US.

When he returns, it will be time for the Winter Session of Parliament and his book will be out on the stands and the contents are expected to create yet another media storm. And the heat will be off him. Get the picture.
