3 IM suspects sent to judicial custody till September 2

Three suspected Indian Mujahideen operatives, arrested for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to carry out terror activities across the country, were today remanded to judicial custody till September 2 by a special NIA court in New Delhi. 

Accused Tehsin Akhtar, Zia-Ur-Rahman and Faizan Ahmed Sultan were produced before district judge I S Mehta on the expiry of their judicial custody and the National Investigation Agency moved a plea seeking extension of their custody on the ground that their probe into the case was going on. 

The judge, after hearing the submissions of the NIA, said, "I have perused the application. The aforesaid three accused persons are sent to judicial custody till September 2."
