Yoga guru BKS Iyengar no more

Yoga guru BKS Iyengar, founder of Iyengar Yoga, died at a hospital in Pune this morning. The nonagenarian had been admitted to the intensive care unit of a private hospital for poor heart function and difficulty in breathing on August 12. On Sunday, reports suggest, he was put on dialysis due to renal failure. Renowned internationally, he was awarded the Padma Shri in 1991, the Padma Bhushan in 2002 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2014.
