Mumbai molestation: Woman says she was turned away from two police stations

A woman who was allegedly molested on Sunday morning in Mumbai, has said that she was turned away by two police stations and that her complaint was finally registered at the Bandra police station. She said that the police asked why she was out so late at night.

The incident occurred at an isolated spot on the Sion-Dharavi bridge near Raheja hospital at around 3am, when the girl and her male friend were out looking for cigarettes.

The three men who also robbed the couple's cash and mobile phones, ran away after the girl started screaming. All three have been arrested.
