The forensic report in the Badaun double murder/rape case is out. The CBI report says it could be a case of honour killing since the DNA of the accused was not found on the victims' clothes.

CBI director Ranjit Sinha has so far refused to single out any theory but confirmed that "they are probing every possibility, including honour killing."

The two girls, who were cousins aged 14 and 15, went missing from their house on the night of May 27 and their bodies were found hanging from a mango tree in the village on May 28. The postmortem report of the two girls confirmed that they were raped before being murdered. Five persons have been arrested in the case that had sparked nationwide outrage.
