Militant firing kills 2 BSF troopers, injures 4 others

Two Border Security Force personnel were killed and four others were injured when militants ambushed a passing BSF vehicle near Koil in south Kashmir's Pulwama district this afternoon. A senior police officer said militants opened heavy fire at a passing vehicle of the BSF critically injuring six BSF troopers. "All the injured were evacuated to army base hospital in Srinagar. However, an assistant sub-inspector and a head constable succumbed en route," an officer said. This is the third militant attack in Pulwama in the past one week.
