Kurta clad MPs grace Parliament
August 13, 2014  18:55
Shanta Kumar, who is the BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh, surprised many of his colleagues in the Lok  Sabha, by wearing a long kurta emroidered with flowers. If Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, decides  to hold a ramp walk of male MPs wearing long kurtas, there will be at least 25 to 30 MPs in the fray. BJD MP Tathagata Satapati would probably be judged the best dressed, but a close second will be Dr Murli  Manahor Joshi from the BJP, who wears attractive, dark colors, teamed with a stole. CPM leader Saleem from West Bengal also wears dark red kurtas, may be in conjunction with his political ideology.
