Our fly on the wall tells us Congress president Sonia Gandhi seemed restless in Parliament today. She blinked repeatedly and pursed her lips almost all through the session today. Sonia spoke to only three people in Parliament today -- NCP leader Tariq Anwar, union minister E Ahamed and Rahul Gandhi.

She was seated as usual on the extreme left of the first row, a seat which comes with a distinct disadvantage as well as advantage. The seat ensures she avoids eye contact with Narendra Modi and Maneka Gandhi, who in a sense flank her on either side. Newsmen tittered that she must have got a crick in the neck since she had to look straight ahead. So, the only other spot she could look at without discomfort was at the visitor's gallery upstairs.

May be it got to her for at around noon, the UPA chairperson opened her black bag and popped a pill.
