Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's unusual outburst in the Lok Sabha today comes with a loaded message from the family. Rahul Gandhi is ready to take the reins of the party. After its worst-ever performance in the Lok Sabha elections which saw just 44 of its candidates winning, a desperate Congress is now trying a new strategy which it hopes will allow it to remain relevant in politics.

Vice President Rahul Gandhi has got into damage control mode and will lead the Congress charge on all major issues inside as well as outside Parliament.

And it is as part of this strategy that Rahul led protests in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday and even entered the well of the House while demanding a discussion on the Communal Violence Bill.
