A controversial banner has come up at a traffic signal in Allahabad claiming that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would soon be joining active politics. The Times of India reports that the banner comes on the heels of an earlier banner put up in the heart of the city urging the Congress high command to let Priyanka into active politics to counter BJP's national president Amit Shah.

"Congress ka Moon, Priyanka is coming soon (The key face of Congress Priyanka is joining politics soon)" reads the banner which has photographs of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi along with Youth Congress leaders Haseeb Ahmad and Shirish Chandra Dubey. The banner describes Ahmad as secretary of city Congress committee.

The major omission from the banner is the photograph of Rahul Gandhi. Both leaders have claimed that Priyanka Gandhi, the key face, would take over the reins of 129-year-old organization and revive it.
