Venkaiah's witty quips keep MPs in splits

M Venkaiah Naidu, who is the Union urban development minister and also holds the portfolio of Parliamentary Affairs minister, is well known for his tart one-liners to questions in Parliament. When asked about the government's decision on the Leader of Opposition, Naidu said that LoP is in the domain of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
He said as parliamentary affairs minister he prefers to stay within the LoC or the Line of Control. His other retort was when Congress MPs raised the point of order on the Insurance Bill today, Naidu quipped, "On your statement there is no point and therefore no order is needed."
Quite naturally, there was a loud thumping of desks from the treasury benches.
