Subrata Roy allowed secretarial staff in Tihar for sale of assets

The Supreme Court has allowed Sahara group chairman Subrata Roy to use use a 540 square feet conference room with an attached toilet and a 144 square feet annexe within Tihar Jail complex to start negotiations for sale of the group's 'big ticket' hotels in London and New York.

The special permission is valid for 10 working days. He will also be allowed the use of secretarial staff within Tihar.

Solicitor Harish Salve has sought flexibility in the time limit, saying negotiations with prospective buyers from Los Angeles and New York could go beyond 8 pm.
