In a reprieve to Giriraj Singh, a Deoghar court has told police not to arrest the BJP leader till the next hearing, which is scheduled on May 3.
The relief came a day after another Jharkhand court denied anticipatory bail to Singh for his hate speech during campaigning.
A Bokaro court had issued an arrest warrant on April 23 against the Bharatiya Janata Party leader for his speech.
Two FIRs were lodged against Giriraj Singh - one in Bokaro district and the second in Deoghar district of the state - on the instructions of the Election Commission.
Singh said in his speech on April 18 while campaigning in Jharkhand: "Those who are opposing BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi are supporters of Pakistan."
