Chennai: EVM malfunction in Gopalapuram, polling temporarily halted

CNN-IBN reports: EVM malfunction has been reported at a polling booth in Gopalapuram in Chennai. Gopalpuram is the polling area where DMK cheif K Karunanidhi and his son and DMK's treasurer MK Stalin usually cast their vote.

Poll officials are working to rectify the error. Polling has been temporarily halted as officials are trying to fix the error.

39 seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone seat in Puducherry is up for voting on Thursday.
