UK tabloid's ex-editor admits approving police payment

Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson admitted in court today to approving a payment to a royal policeman for information, despite warnings it could land him in jail. 

 The 46-year-old, who later became Prime Minister David Cameron's communications chief, said he simply "rubber-stamped" the request by the royal editor of the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid.
