Cine star-turned-Congress hopeful from Meerut, Nagma, put herself in a spot after she confused late shehnai maestro Bismillah Khan with Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, saying the J&K separatist leader is a 'Bharat Ratna'.

Nagma made the gaffe during a poll rally for Congress candidate Kazim Ali Khan, the titular Nawab of Rampur, "Geelani ji desh ke zimmedar vyakti hain, jinko bharat ratna mila hai,toh Giriraj ji ke hisaab se unko bhi pakistan chale jana chahiye (Geelani ji is a responsible person who has got Bharat Ratna...as per Giriraj ji he should also go to Pakistan),' she said.

Nagma was apparently referring to the controversy triggered by BJP leader Giriraj Singh after he said that "all those who are opposed to Narendra Modi should go to Pakistan.'
