Petrol prices cut by 70 p/litre, diesel unchanged

The price of petrol was on Tuesday cut by 70 paise per litre - the second reduction in six months. The prices of diesel were left unchanged. The reduction, effective midnight, excludes local sales tax or VAT and the actual cut will be higher, varying from city to city. The price of petrol was last cut by 75 paise on March 31.
