A tea vendor will be one of Narendra Modi's proposers, when he files his nomination at Vadodara shortly. Dressed in a kurta and an orange waistcoat with the lotus symbol emblazoned on his waistcoat, Modi waved to crowds -- mammoth numbers -- from an open jeep. as he traveled through the city. The roadshow is being called the Vijay Vishwas rally.

Compare this to the Sonia Gandhi's nomination from Rae Bareilly last week, which apart from a shower of rose petals, was largely muted.
