Elephant herd obstructs movement of poll officials

A herd of 30'"40 wild elephants today disrupted the movement of sector officers in at least two polling booths in Meghalaya's South West Garo Hills district. "The movement of sector officers in at least two polling booths was disrupted for a few minutes when the road they were travelling were blocked by a herd of 30-40 wild elephants crossing the same road," South West Garo Hills district Deputy Commissioner Ram Singh told PTI.
