UPA keen to push through 2-year term for envoys in US, Russia, China
April 07, 2014  17:34
A top secret file has been submitted to the PMO. Our sources tell us that the file pertains to a fixed tenure for Indian envoys posted in the USA, China and Russia.

But the point to note is that the UPA is keen to get a policy decision pushed through during the poll campaign, which is likely to be in contravention of the Election Commission rules.

Remains to be seen whether the EC will approve this or whether the new government at the centre, after May 16, will review the UPA's last minute decisions. Stay with us.
