First death sentence under new rape laws

This is the first death penalty for rape under section 376 E of the IPC under the new laws formulated after the Delhi gang rape. Under 376 E, repeat offenders can get the death penalty. The Mumbai sessions court said the crime was diabolical in nature and was planned and not spontaneous. This is what the new rape law says.
