4 dead as gunman opens fire at US army's Fort Hood base

Four people have been killed in a shooting at United States army base Fort Hood, including the shooter, an official said. Sixteen people were wounded at the installation in central Texas, reports CNN

-- There is no known motive. "There is no indication that this incident is related to terrorism although we are not ruling anything out," said the army post's commander Lt Gen Mark A Milley.

The sprawling army base was the site of a deadly rampage in 2009 that left 13 dead.
