SM Krishna: Modi wave hype by vested interests
April 02, 2014  16:06
Former external affairs minister SM Krishna dissed the Modi 'wave' in Bangalore and said there was no such thing. Addressing the media just before launching a campaign for the Congress he said that what Narendra Modi had managed to do was sideline senior leaders such as LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj.

"It is very disappointing to see so much infighting in the BJP. The Modi wave is hype created by vested interests," Krishna said. He said Modi's dominance over the party is the reason that senior leaders are sidelined and that there was a veneer of dictatorship in the BJP.

When asked about the candidature of Adarsh scam tainted former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan, Krishna said mouthed the party sentiment saying there was no conviction against him.
