BEST buses go off roads, Mumbaikars left stranded

After an extended weekend, Mumbaikars woke up to a chaotic Tuesday as the BEST drivers and conductors went on flash strike to protest against the new computerised scheduling system.

Office-goers and school children, many of whom have examinations, were stranded, reported The Times of India.

The buses were lying idle at 25 depots across the city and only 16 workers had reported to duty in the morning.
