Just in: The Supreme Court initiates contempt proceedings against former Army chief General VK Singh. Singh has made 'contemptious' remarks against the apex court on September 22 over his age row.

Earlier today, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's National Conference moved a breach of privilege motion in the Legislative Assembly against the former Army chief for his purported statement that Army had been transferring secret funds to ministers in the state since 1947.
