Militants strike in Srinagar, kill CISF jawan

Mukhtar Ahmad reports from Srinagar: A jawan of Central Industrial Security Force was killed and another critically injured in a militant attack at Hazuribagh, in the heart of Srinagar, on Monday.

Militants fired at the two jawans from a close range, injuring them critically, said a senior police official.

The two jawans were rushed to the hospital, where one of them succumbed to his injuries.

The entire area has been cordoned off.
