September 23, 2013  15:14
A correspondent from Delhi reports: A Congress MP from Punjab and his lawyer friend, now a legal officer, allegedly engaged a PSU officer to impersonate Congress President Sonia Gandhi and make seven hoax calls to Attorney General Goolam E Vahanvati.

During these phone calls, Vahanvati was told to stop pursuing coal scam-related cases and stop appearing in Supreme Court in connection with the cases.

The woman also asked the AG to resign.

The seven calls were made between September 5 and September 19.

Interestingly, the issue of missing files in the coal scam is coming up before the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The IB, the CBI and Delhi police have been asked to investigate the hoax calls.
