Pakistani Taliban denies seeking release of 50 prisoners

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan today denied asking for release of 50 prisoners, hours after a media report said its chief had contacted a former PML-N lawmaker and made the demand.

A TTP spokesman said that neither the group's chief Hakimullah Mehsud nor he spoke to PML-N lawmaker Javed Ibraheem Paracha over the telephone.
