New voting machines to replace ancient ones in Parliament

From a correspondent in Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has approved the purchase of voting machines worth Rs 3 crore, which will be installed inside the Lok Sabha.

During the recent monsoon session, the Lok Sabha Secretariat found itself in a tight spot over the failure of electronic voting machines, which are now a decade old.
