Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Pulok Chatterjee's wife is unwell for the last two weeks. Jaya Iyengar Chattrejee has now been discharged from a Delhi hospital, but is still under medical observation.

Chatterjee has been extremely busy with his hectic work schedule, especially after the Prime Minister is away in Russia for the G-20, and most of the coordination work fell on his shoulders.

Insiders say Sonia Gandhi relies heavily on Pulok Chatterjee. This will be a truly testing time for the top babu in the PMO.
