Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde today said that the Centre had sent an alert to Bihar about possible terror attack on Narendra Modi's rally in Patna.

Yesterday, Arun Jaitley, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said that the Bihar chief minister cannot shy away from the responsibility of Sundays serial blasts in Patna by just saying that he did not receive any alert from any security agency.

It seems that we are living into a vulnerable security environment. On Sundays blasts, Chief Minister claimed that he did not receive any prior alert neither from the Central intelligence agencies nor from those of the State. I have seen a news report on a TV channel which tells that the Chief Ministers claims are wrong.

"The report suggests that the State police was given prior terror alert from Intelligence Bureau with regard to terror threat during Hunkar rally, Jaitley said, adding that deployment of anti-sabotage forces was not adequate in the State capital during BJPs Hunkar rally.
