International roaming charges set to crash as Vodafone slashes rates

International roaming rates are headed south with Vodafone, the country's second largest mobile operator, slashing charges for pre- and post-paid customers by up to 78% for calls and 95% for data.

Although other operators did not comment on their response, executives say companies will unveil revised rates shortly. Idea Cellular, the third-biggest GSM player, already offers highly competitive packages for countries like the US. Read
