October 24, 2013  12:17
Sorry, onion prices will hover around Rs 100 a kilo for at least a week more. Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar says no drop in onion prices is expected due to crop damage because of rains, but prices are likely to fall in the next two to three weeks. The  Centre will release Rs 921.98 crore to Maharashtra for damages to onion crop due to excess rains.

Commerce Minister Anand Sharma says there is no real scarcity of onions; prices are expected to stabilise in the coming few weeks.
