Live! Pawar passes the buck: Consumer affairs ministry responsible for onion crisis

Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar deftly passes the buck on the spiraling prices of onions and the acute shortage. Speaking to CNN IBN, Pawar says that excess rainfall is responsible for the shortage of onions and that the agriculture ministry is not responsible for the sky-high prices.

"It is the responsibility of the consumer affairs ministry and it should answer the people for the crisis and should crack down on hoarders," says Pawar.
