Live! SC gives VK Singh four weeks to reply to 'contemptous' remarks

The Supreme Court has begun contempt proceedings over the remarks that former Army Chief General VK Singh made against the apex court on September 22 in connection with his age row case in a report that was published in The Indian Express.

The General had attacked the SC saying that the court had not gone into the merits of the arguments that he had given on the issue during the proceedings.

The SC after hearing the issue had asked the retired general to either withdraw his petition or invite an adverse judgement.
