Home ministry officials hijack foreign trip meant for pilots, engineers

Three senior officials of the home ministry have triggered a controversy by latching on to a foreign trip meant for pilots and engineers attached to the ministry's aircraft fleet.
Their eagerness to travel to Lisbon, Cairo, Istanbul and Dubai at the public exchequer's cost at a time when the government is supposed to be in austerity mode resulted in three engineers being offloaded, while the trip itself was expanded from nine to 14 days. Read
